His administration says the trip will focus on manufacturing, water technology, mining, information technology and tourism. The governor’s administration has not yet provided details on the costs of the trips. The current one will be covered by the governor’s office and the state tourism agency, which gets revenues from a hotel tax. Republican Gov. Phil Bryant was part of a 26-person delegation to Japan for a meeting of the Southeast U.S.-Japan Association last September, a year after the state hosted the annual conference. He traveled to Mexico last September, Canada in December and the United Kingdom in February.
